Justin VanNess - HS Varsity Boys Head Coach

Justin VanNess was born in Annapolis Maryland. He grew up playing lacrosse in the youth leagues in Baltimore. In 8th grade, he moved to Bainbridge Island and continued to play lacrosse at Bainbridge High, where as a Junior his team won the first state championship for Bainbridge. Justin was all state both Junior and Senior years. Coach VanNess then attended Western Washington University and continued to play lacrosse. While there, the Vikings captured the PNLA championship (college League). Justin has played men's league and coached since graduating. His coaching resume is just as impressive as his playing. Coach VanNess has coached the youth level for Queen Anne and the JV/Varsity level for Bainbridge Island and Nathan Hale High Schools. The VanNess now calls this area home and is looking forward to building a successful and dominant program for years to come.
Michael Harlow – Varsity Assistant HS Boys Coach

Michael started playing lacrosse as a freshman at Nathan Hale High School. He went on to attend college at Western Washington University to obtain a BS in Biology and Anthropology. He was also vice-president and president of the school team for three years. During that time team made it to the league playoffs three times as well as two championship appearances. He co-captained his senior year in '07 and helped bring WWU to the MCLA National Championship tournament where his team would be ranked ninth nationally. His coaching experience started as a junior in high school where he was an assistant for the North Seattle Youth team. During college he helped develop clinics and camps for the surrounding Whatcom area. Currently, Michael is playing for Steelhead Lacrosse club.

Steve McGowan - 7th & 8th Grade Head Coach
Email: hockeymcg@comcast.net Coach McGowan grew up in New York State playing both hockey and lacrosse competitively through high school. Steve is still playing competitively in the Seattle Adult Hockey League. Steve has never lost his passion for the game of lacrosse and looks forward to developing future lacrosse players for the Mukilteo Knights Lacrosse Club. Steve has past coaching experience in the Mukilteo area in both baseball and soccer.
Dave Hulsoor – 5th & 6th Grade Head Coach

Coach Hulsoor was born in upstate New York and raised in Massachusetts. He began playing lacrosse in college while attending Chico State University. After graduating he played lacrosse for several more years on various post collegiate clubs. His lacrosse coaching experience includes; The Chico Rebel (High School), Round Valley Middle School, the University of Oregon and most recently, due to the interest of his two sons, North Shore's 3rd/4th grade team.

Coach Sean has been involved in the Mukilteo Lacrosse Club since it began in 2003. He started playing in 8th grade, and played Varsity Attack in his four years in High School. In his last two years in High School, Sean earned Co-Captain Honors and was selected for the All-State Team in 2006. Coach Sean has developed a great passion for the sport, and is happy he has the opportunity to introduce and develop new players at the youth level of lacrosse. Along with coaching, Sean currently attends Lake Washington Technical College, and plays men's league often.
